Dr. Susie Rhee is a board-certified, female plastic surgeon based in Nassau County, New York, but she serves all of Long Island. She is a dedicated patient advocate whose priorities include patient safety, satisfaction and excellence in clinical care.
Dr. Rhee completed her plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia followed by a prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship with the world-renowned Dr. James C. Grotting in Birmingham, AL. She was previously in private practice in Florida specializing exclusively in cosmetic surgery. Following this, Dr. Rhee spent time at one of most premier cosmetic surgery clinics in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea to learn the latest advancements and techniques in Asian patients including Asian blepharoplasty and Asian rhinoplasty. She is also fully trained in General Surgery.
Dr. Rhee was instilled with the values of compassion and uncompromising patient care at an early age, when her own father was lost to a battle with leukemia. Her formal training in classical violin cultivated meticulous hand-eye coordination, discipline and excellent technical skills. And her background in the fine arts has enabled her to better appreciate the anatomy and foster an artistic eye.
Dr. Rhee specializes in breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reductions; abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), mommy makeover, liposuction; vaginal rejuvenation (labiaplasty), and well as facial cosmetic procedures including face and neck lifts, eyelid lift, brow lift, nose surgery (rhinoplasty) as well as chemical peels for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. She is experienced in majority of cosmetic surgical procedures and also brings new techniques in Asian blepharoplasty (double eyelid procedure), cosmetic breast surgery, oculoplastics and rhinoplasty.
Dr. Rhee is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society (American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation.

Dr. Rhee has a distinguished history of awards for high performance. She was honored with the Kenna S. Given, M.D., Plastic Surgery Clinical Award at the Medical College of Georgia during her year as administrative Chief Resident, in recognition for her clinical aptitude that is the most exemplary of her dedication to patient care, safety, and surgical performance. She has also presented many papers & presentations at regional and national meetings.
In addition to her skill as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Rhee is also an artist, with considerable talents in both medical illustration and music. Prior to medical school, she received a scholarship to the Royal College of Music in London, England for classical violin performance. Her medical illustrations have been used by other surgeons when explaining new procedures. She has also participated in medical mission trips to Colombia and Bangladesh.
